Jeannie O is a contemporary Christian singer from Brooklyn. Jeannie achieved success as a mainstream pop artist and has since transitioned to ministry with a desire to inspire the world through the hope-centered message of the love of Jesus Christ.

 

• Singer, songwriter, and actress Jeannie Ortega is a native New Yorker who signed her first major record deal with Disney subsidiary Hollywood Records at the age of 16.

 

• Her debut album, No Place Like Bklyn (2006), debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and charted in the Top 200 overall.

 

• Her first single, “Crowded,” yielded a Top 25 single on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and was certified Gold, reaching over 250 million people.

 

• Jeannie opened up for global superstar Rihanna on her nationwide tour.

 

• Jeannie is now a Christian speaker and TV Host on No. 1 Christian cable network TBN/ TBN Salsa

 

• In November 2015, Jeannie was added to a mural on the wall of the 83rd Precinct in her hometown neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn. The portrait was completed by artist V.Ballentine in honor of inspiring celebrities from that area.

 

• In 2019, Jeannie was named by Charisma magazine one of the 9 rising voices in the spirit-filled charismatic movement.
