Singer, songwriter, and actress Jeannie Ortega is a native New Yorker who signed her first major record deal with Disney subsidiary Hollywood Records at the age of 16.
Her debut album, No Place Like Bklyn (2006), debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and charted in the Top 200 overall.
Her first single, “Crowded,” yielded a Top 25 single on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and was certified Gold, reaching over 250 million people.

In November 2015, Jeannie was added to a mural on the wall of the 83rd Precinct in her hometown neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn. The portrait was completed by artist V.Ballentine in honor of inspiring celebrities from that area.
In 2019, Jeannie was named by Charisma magazine one of the 9 rising voices in the spirit-filled charismatic movement.
