ROAD to 31 Devotional Day 25- "Unbelievable"

Listen to "Unbelievable" off my new mixtape https://m.soundcloud.com/jeannie-ortega-2/unbelievable…

I love how once I started walking with Jesus and really listening to His voice, things that I always found unbelievable became reality. It's not because following God is like some magic spell or something, it's simply because listening to His voice and following His word is the remedy to living the lives we were meant to on this earth.

Why love our enemies, why forgive, why be generous, why be righteous, why be sober, why be pure?????...and the list goes on and on. Why do all those things? Because God knows outcome of those things. Like a good father He gives us the road map to live and walk in His ways so that we could live our full potential and be blessed while we do.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord."

Galatians 6:9 "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."

I wrote my song "Unbelievable" shortly after I met my husband, now known as Pastor Renn 😱 wow who knew I'd marry a man after God's heart. A man that would respect me and treat me like a daughter of a King, he treated me like royalty. Because I had been so tainted and so use to seeing men be just one way I didn't feel like I deserved a love like that. I even tried to convince myself that it was all too good to be true, BUT GOD kept whispering to me, 'you are the apple of my eye and I only want the best for you, accept my blessing.'

Wow, up until that point I had been so content with just loving my Jesus and learning the woman I was in Him that I wasnt even worried about anything or anyone else in a romantic way. But He saw it fit to send me someone to walk out life with. And because I commited to follow His lead and His instruction for my life I was able to let a good thing in.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Proverbs 19: 20-21 "Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails"

Reflection: Are there things in your life that God is telling to you avoid or change? Remember those things are always gonna be for your own good in the long run.

Are there amazing blessings coming your way but you are not sure about them because you are afraid to get hurt or disappointed? Open your heart to God's goodness and believe that good things do happen to those that are called by His name.
